Club members gathered at the IHOP Restaurant near Highway 183 and Duvall Road for the monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 7.  Teams attending were:  Brown, Connell, Davis, Gold, Parish, Pederzani, Sanchez, Summers, and Wacker.

President Joe Connell wished Happy Birthday greetings to Robert Brown on February 9 and to Gail Pederzani and Marilyn Connell on February 10.  We also wished a Happy Anniversary to Gina and Jesse Martinez who will celebrate on February 25.

Pete Trevino made the Treasurer’s report as his wife, Rosemarie, was out of town. Members were reminded that club dues needed to be paid by this meeting

Brent Parish, Assistant Tournament Director, conducted the tournament portion of our meeting as Jesse Sanchez was not able to attend the meeting due to a work related event.  Awards were presented and fishing reports given from the Lake Bastrop  January 21 Tournament.

February 11 Fayette Lake Tournament

  • Members voted to change the tournament from “Lake Rules” to a photo-paper tournament
  • Tournament times were from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and the weigh-in locations chosen was the Park Prairie ramp

 

The March Tournament will be the Spring Two Day Tournament and details will be chosen at the March 6 meeting

April Tournament:  We chose Saturday, April 28 as the date and Lake LBJ

There was no Old Business

New Business:

  • Members were notified that per posts on The Austin Bass Fishing Forum, a local Top 6 tournament may be held in the fall
  • The Texas Bass Couples sent email to the officers and details about their circuit were shared.
  • Members held a discussion about joining TABC again this year. (From the TABC Bylaws:   · If applying club has twenty (20) members or less then said club must affiliate with 100% of its membership through the club  Section 4:  Late Dues Annual dues of active members, as provided by these By Laws, are due on April 15th of each year. Dues paid after April 15th (must be postmarked by April 15th) will incur a $50 late fee) MMBC
  • Members were asked to reflect on TABC and we will vote on club membership at the next meeting.  As stated above, because our club has over 20 members, we must have 100% of our members pay TABC dues.

 

Prize Drawing:  Vice-President Lesli selected some great prizes and the drawing was held.  Team Martinez holds the Steal Token and will retain it as they were unable to attend the meeting.
