June 2014 Newsletter
Good Evening Anglers! Well, I’m a little late on this but, better late than never! Teams in attendance at tonight’s meeting were Teams Davis, Connell, Gold, Brown, Parish/Killough, Huebel/Smith, Derks, White, Trevino, Simpson, Summers and Wilson. Thank you all for being there and those of you who couldn’t come, we missed you!
We started our June 3rd meeting out at IHOP with wishing Glenda Summers (6/12), Melissa Baethge (6/16) and Allen Summers (6/28) a very Happy Birthday. We also had a couple of Anniversaries to celebrate starting with Mr. and Mrs. Connell who celebrated their anniversary on June 2nd and Mr. and Mrs. Davis who celebrated on June 4th! Congrats to both couples, and here is to many more years!
Next up on the agenda was the Treasurers Report given by Mr. Cliff Davis (he gave you the report to look at when every you want! You can frame it if you want to!)
Now for the important stuff.. Tournament news!!! Our fabulous TD, Mr. Pete Trevino, gave the Inks Lake results which if you haven’t seen it on the website or were unable to make the tournament or missed the meeting I will go ahead and give you the results here! 3rd place – Team Trevino with 10.59lbs, 2nd place – who else but Brent and Leslie with 11.33lbs and coming in at 1st place with a 16.33lb stringer was Mr. and Mrs. Davis… Women’s Big Bass went to Brenda Davis with a 4.58lbr and Pete Trevino took Men’s Big Bass with lbr. Way to go ladies and gents!
The club then voted in the weigh in location and tournament times for the June 21st Lake Buchanan tournament. Weigh in was held at Burnet County Park #2. The tournament times were 6am-2pm. (FYI Mr. and Mrs. Summers killed it at this tournament!)
We will be voting on the tournament times for our July 19th tournament at the July 1st meeting! This will be a photo tournament.
For those of you who were unable to make the meeting, the club voted on our Fall 2-day tournament. We will be fishing Lake O.H. Ivie on October 25&26th. There are rooms blocked off at Elm Creek (where we usually stay) and their phone number is 325-357-4776. Book your room today!
I know you are probably sick of me reminding you about TABC at Toledo Bend on September 27th & 28th but if you want to go, please book your room. There are rooms on hold at Fin & Feather. you can book now and change your mind later if you need to.
Last on the agenda is getting Sponsorship monies! Get out there and see what you can do!
President Davis (that has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?) ended the meeting and passed it off to Miss Emily Smith for the monthly raffle! Great Job Emily!
FYI- Laurie Wilson has the Steal Token! Thank you Marilyn for making a new one! You are the best.
