Mr. and Mrs. Bass Club of Austin February 2013 Newsletter
The second MMBC meeting of 2013 was held on February 5, 2013 at Mesa Rosa restaurant. In attendance were teams: Wacker, Roberts, Connell, Smith/Hubel, Parish, Davis, Summers, Trevino, Brown.
Old Business
Reminder that club dues need to be paid at the March meeting to be held on the 5th at IHOP.
March Tournament held on Lake Austin, March 23rd. Details will be decided at the March meeting.
Our two day sprint tournament is scheduled on Lake OH Ivie for April 6-7.
Allen Summers, our tournament director took the floor. He announced the Fayette Co February tournament results. No checks were given out since our treasurer was not at the meeting. Checks will be given out as soon as possible. Discussion about the Fayette tournament took place. Joe and Marilyn won the tournament using a watermelon red craw dude. Allen Summers then spoke about the importance of sharing fishing information inside the club. Reminded us that the goal is for everyone to become better fisher men and women so that we can reach our goal of winning the TABC tournament.
New Business
Discussion about the website took place. Brent reminded members to update their profiles on the website by sending him the information they wanted listed. James also requested that a password protected roster page be listed on the site. Brent said he would do this. (It has done at the time of writing this)
TABC – Glenda Summers is no longer the secretary for TABC but Allen Summers is still involved. We then took a vote to see if the club wanted to join the TABC for 2013. The vote resulted in a YES. If you have not paid your TABC dues please do so as soon as possible.
The Connell’s and Davis’ will be celebrating their anniversaries together June 1st through 5th in Las Vegas. They extended an invitation to all club members to join them. Both teams will be missing the June meeting.
We will have guest speakers at the March club meeting. They will be Gary Pender (Service Manager) and Possibly Jim DeGrote (General Manager) from Tracker Boat Center.
A motion was made to hold future meetings at the Mesa Rosa restaurant. A second motion was then made to table that motion and vote about moving the meeting location to Mesa Rosa at the March meeting (Which will be held at our regular meeting location of IHOP). That motion passed. March meeting will be held at IHOP.
Emily then held the club raffle. Brent Parish has the steal token.
