April showers bring May flowers and start filling up some of the lakes too. Mr. & Mrs. Bass Club of Austin held their monthly meeting on April 5, 2016 at Threadgill’s on North Lamar. Teams who attended were Anderson, Davis, Gast, Huebel/Smith, Trevino, and Wilson.
President Anderson started out the meeting by wishing Pete (3rd) a very happy birthday.
Jeff then handed the meeting over to Elizabeth who gave the treasurer’s report. If you weren’t there and would like the info, get with Elizabeth.
Tournament Director Jeff Huebel announced results for Lake Austin. There were 8 teams that fished. 3rd place went to Team Connell with 11.42 lbs, in 2nd place Team Wilson with 13.41 lbs. 1st place was Team Summers with 17.41 lbs. Men’s big bass went to Allen- he had a 10.57 lbs bass! Women’s big bass went to Marilyn with a 3.28 lbs bass.
Next on the TD agenda was voting on times, locations, and a date for upcoming tournaments. They are:

Weigh in time April 30th : 6:30am-3:00pm
Weigh in Location April 30th :Twin Dikes
Weigh in time May 1st : 6:30am-2:00pm

Old business:
We discussed different options for a club championship since we aren’t fishing TABC. If you’ve got any ideas, shoot them in an email to Jeff A. We were going to discuss to about choosing to make a monetary donation to an animal shelter this year. (Instead of hauling many bags of dog/cat food, toys, beds ect.) Seagroves wasn’t here, so we will discuss this at next month’s meeting.
New business:
We are needing ideas of where we want to fish for our fall 2 day tournament. Bring dates avaliable for lodging and prices.
Vice President Pete Trevino ended our meeting with another wonderful raffle!
